The In Country Value (ICV) program aims to support the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology’s mandate of improving the productivity and sustainability of the UAE’s Industrial sector. It evaluates the contribution to the local economy. Certified suppliers will gain advantages during the award of tenders and contracts based on their ICV score.

The ICV certificate in the UAE measures the supplier or contractor’s ICV contribution to the economy of Abu Dhabi. The supplier receives this certificate upon the successful completion of the certification process.
The purpose of ICV certification is to ensure that the contractor’s provided information with regards to their ICV contribution is valid and accurate and that their ICV scores are correctly calculated based on predefined methods.
There are certifying bodies that are authorized to issue ICV certificates to companies that successfully pass the required evaluation.

The following is the process of getting an ICV certificate:
The supplier or contracting company contacts the pre-approved certifying bodies.
After reviewing the received quotations, the supplier chooses and awards one particular certifying body and signs an engagement letter.
The certifying body evaluates the supplier by validating their submitted information, and issues the final ICV certificate.
